If (CheckValidSSNBeforeUpdate(SSN) = "1") MySqlConnection con = new MySqlConnection(ConString) I *need* TM E so my macro-solution is how I am rolling for the time being.Protected void BtnBtnInsert_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) I turned off TM E to see if it is a TM E bug, but without those traffic rules, chaos ensues so I am not sure if it is helping. 2 minutes later, the button gets clicked again and game continues to be speedy.Ī very Rube-Goldberg way of "solving" it, but I can't figure out actual root cause and I just want to play with my city instead of troubleshoot the game, so my "solution" works for me. In skylines, there is a click sound, the screen border briefly turns red like the game had gone on pause, then all is well and speedy.

Using the "More Shortcuts" mod I created a hotkey shortcut for the "reset stuck cims and vehicles" button (ctrl-alt-c) and then using aprogram called macromakeer, made a macro that hits ctrl-alt-c every 2 minutes. I have put a pretty effective workaround in place. Cims at the very bottom of the map (have to dig a hole to see them) dead center of the map, but again, I am not sure if these guys are the problem. I have discovered at the very center of the map is where those underground dwellers are - but they didn't appear until the 5th save of the game and by that point, I am not sure what I had added etc. a couple week ago and for a while all was well, but then it started slowing down again. I haven't been able to track down what is going on and I even built a new city.

I went through all the usual stuff thus far, disabling mods, broken node detector, getting rid of assets, etc, but pressing that button in TM E instantly brings back the full performance of the game for at least a few minutes before I have to hit it again. Some way of figuring out WHAT is stuck, WHERE, and WHY would be really useful. I read something about Node Controller and making your nodes too long but I haven't really gotten to the bottom of it. I have been trying to figure it out for a long time. I have the same issue and can "solve" the slowdown by pressing the same TM E button as you. Having a hotkey to this button would be a good start, but figuring out root cause would be even better.

I too use the MorePath units (that solves all the transport lines breaking which is a maddening problem) and MoreCitizenUnits, RealTime, Metro Overhaul, and a ton more (none of that Chaos/Holy Water Crap!) My PC is Ryzen 9 5900x with we64GB RAM, NVMe SSD, 1660TI video so it isn't a slouch, and runs the game really well after resetting stuck cims and vehicles - for a bit. My city is big, I used 81 tiles to unlock everything, population is between 450K-510K depending on the death waves. Any thoughts?Ĭlick to expand.I have the same issue and can "solve" the slowdown by pressing the same TM E button as you. I actually forgot this was part of the mod altogether, to be honest! Anyway, lo and behold, after clicking this, my city resumed its original speed, which was really refreshing.Īnyway, I'm super happy that this option exists as part of TMPE buuuuut what exactly causes citizens/vehicles to get stuck in the first place? I know that some path errors (usually pedestrian paths, I think, but sometimes also bugged roads) can do this but I actually went and did a look for trafficky areas as that usually helps and couldn't find any. However, it was so slow that I honestly thought my city was not salvageable, until I went and used the "Remove Stuck Citizens and Vehicles" option as part of the TMPE mod.

I thought that perhaps it was a function of the "More PathUnits" and "MoreCitizenUnits" mods as with an increased citizen unit limit and path unit limit, it would be expected that some slow down would occur. Hi all! So my city has progressively slowed down over the last month and I wasn't sure why.
